My Little Pony: Twilight Sparkle, Teacher for a Day App Reviews

My 2 year old daughter is completely in love with it! Im lucky to get my phone back. :)

Im not a die hard MLP fan, but I thought this was engaging and fun enough for my daughter. The incorporated games add flare and being able to record your voice is a plus.

This app cuts corners wherever possible. Such a low standard of design could pass for $1, but $4?? I bought this app for a friend who likes the MLP tv show, and neither of us felt the app was time or money well spent. The first issue when you open the app are the two splash screen loading things. Both use sound and both are too long. There is no reason to delay loading the app, there is not enough data to need anything more than a static screen of the main menu UI during the sub-second initial load. To add insult to injury, these load screens will happen every time you go back to the app. Im multitasking from the App Store to the MLP app: every time it shows those stupid videos with the stupid sounds. All this will do is teach kids how effective advertising is from a very young age, and not in a so-be-wary-when-the-man-in-the-business-suit-is-smiling educational kind of way. I also might add that the loading videos are actually shoddily compressed videos, showing artifacting clearly. Terrible. If you cant do a good job with a video, why?? Use something that isnt so low quality and cheap. When you actually get into the app, the buttons for reading the book are under emphasized and too small on the bottom left hand corner while a giant graphic of the purple pony and a lizard are over emphasized. Bad UI design. A kids application, as one of the first glimpses of what is possible in touch screen interactive media, should not share bad UI design. It will only be detrimental to their growth artistically, logically, creatively, and organizationally (all the same), to have them learn inferior systems of navigation, and eventually emulate such systems. Windows RANDINT interface designers arent what parents want to be raising. When you choose to have the book read aloud, the first page is not read aloud. Face palm. Really? It is a kids app. If you design a portion of the app that reads to the user, at least have it consistently do so. Terrible design. Within the story are more compressed videos. Eww. Also, my friend tells me the voice actor is not the one from the show. If true, thats pretty shoddy. I didnt get much past this point in the app. These issues are more than enough for me to strongly believe that this app deserves 1 star, if that. Too low quality to even be offered on the App Store.

The amount of time it took to download was way too long. Also the price is a bit high. It needs an update to offer a little more for the price.

Im a Pegasister and I just HAD to get this. I like it a lot, and so does my little cousin. My only complaint is that the price should at least be 2.00 instead of 3.99. But overall, its a fun app.

Omigosh! I hate this app. How dare they make a childrens app for a childrens cartoon? Where are the sexy pics of frolicking ponies? Where is the slash fic? Dont they understand My Little Ponys true market is unmarried 25 year old men who still live with their mothers? Jeez… Instead we got a cute interactive picture book with cut scenes from the movie and mini games to play that let kids collect items for their diary. Video cut scenes? Whats up with that? This app took forever to install with my 28.8k baud connection. And the vids werent even HD. Have some respect for us true fans. Who cares about the mysterious opt-in via Safari to a marketing firms website? Wheres our Canterlot cosplay cat house? Like or raise a hoof if you agree!

Its a cute app and my daughter loves it, she was and I were upset when we found that it was just 1 story. I think for 3.99 thats a little ridiculous. I really hope you make updates often other wise I may request a refund because after you beat it one time which doesnt take long, there isnt anything else to do but to do it all over again.

I am a nanny and got this app cause the little girl I take care of loves my little ponies cartoon. Paid $3.99. Not happy! She figured it out first time through and asked how to change the the pony and story. I could see a buck but 4? There is only one story. I really hope there are some updates coming, otherwise I would warn anyone else interested not to waist there mony.

I read this to my 4 yr old daughter. Fun the first time but boring after that. You used twilights promo pose a lot and some things werent taken into consideration. In bed twilight was just normal promo pose again and made a frown. Her eyes and face look weird too. Also, if it wasnt lazy enough, you just put scenes in from the show, which was also awkward. Good effort but take more care next time

It still only says pie and there are 5 spots for friends other than the food pie being there this is a fine app.

Eh. Pegasister here. A tad dissapointed. Its not what you think if youre a bronypegasister. Its for 5 year olds. Not too fun

Kids would have a lot of fun with this app. Bronies would have fun with it for a while, but it gets old. The download time is quite a while as well. Overall, an okay app. Please make one devoted to Bronies.

I wasnt expecting anything educational or original from this book app, but it actually seems shabbily made. -it doesnt respond well when you touch stuff for the activities, and that stupid menu at the bottom is always popping up. -theres a jarring flash when it switches from book stills to video clips (not that a a book with tv clips inserted would ever look great)

This app is awesome nothing more to say.

I only bought this app because ima Brony but update this app so we can get more storys and that are based on episodes yay
